Teagan "Sweet Tea's" treatment made the news here in Denver, Colorado! We are learning that if we help share our story we open up the possibility of other families learning of this treatment as well. If it helps one family or person learn of a new treatment or brings hope, we have succeeded.
This is one example of how media can help share and connect. Our app will have the ability to specifically and intentionally connect cancer parents who share similarities along their journey. Kathy Walsh was so gracious to help spread the word about our app as well as we begin to secure funding to develop it!
During the week of April 9-13th, 2018 Children's Cancer Research Fund shared pictures of Teagan and her cancer journey. On Friday, the 13th, they were so generous to also advertise Sweet Tea Cancer Connections to their followers to help us spread the word! We could not be more grateful for their support!

Seattle Nonprofit Gains Exposure with the Help of Valley Girls & Guys March Fun Night Out Event
In an effort to secure potential donors as well as advertise their Circle of Hope mobile app, that will connect pediatric cancer parents, Sweet Tea Cancer Connections attended the 11th Annual Valley Girls and Guys March Fun Night Out event.
“The difficulty of being able to find parent support after my daughter’s brain tumor diagnosis, provoked me to create a mobile app,” said Tatum Fettig, Founder of Sweet Tea Connections. “I reached out to Tina McDonough, the founder of Valley Guys and Girls, for guidance on how to raise funds for our nonprofit and she was more than willing to help. We sincerely want to thank Tina for her support and allowing us the opportunity to advertise during her event.”
Tatum continues, “Having a booth at this event allowed us to share our individual story through video and make connections in our local cancer community. Meeting attendees who were family members of pediatric cancer patients once again confirmed the need to leverage technology that will enable parents to make these much needed connections directly and intentionally. It was a touching evening filled with storytelling and we were able to learn “set up” tips and ideas for our future Awareness Booth campaigns.”

ABOUT VALLEY GIRLS & GUYS
For the past 11 years, Valley Girls & Guys! have actively raised money aide in finding a cure for breast cancer through fundraising to support the Susan G. Komen 3- Day Walk for a cure, helped patients and families during treatment, and Mountain for Mammaries 2018. The Valley Girls & Guys March Fun Night Out Event consisted of popular fundraising tools that allowed attendees to participate in a silent and live auction, donate money towards programs they have created, raffle tickets, and several other donated items.
